I WISH with all my heart that I knew this years ago.

After the birth of my first baby, I faced a painful physical recovery that no one had prepared me for. I thought I was ready with all my ice pads in the freezer, but wow was I wrong. By the time I had my second, I was hit with postpartum disorders that brought on a new level of recovery. Those experiences opened my eyes to how little guidance most moms are given for recovery — and how isolating it can feel.
